BEDFORD & COUNTY AC
The Bedford 6 is organised by Bedford & County AC each year, normally on a Tuesday evening in May. The race HQ is at Bedford International Athletic Stadium and the course follows the Bedford to Sandy cycle way east from Priory Park close to the River Great Ouse. The 6 mile circuit takes you out Willington and then turns back to Priory Park for the finish. As you might expect as the course is close to the river it is flat except for the ramps up to the bridge over the dual carriage way which you cross both on the way out and back.
The Bedford 6 is part of the popular and long established East Midlands Grand Prix Road Race Series that takes place on midweek evenings in May June & July.
The race presentation takes place in the Trackside Bar at the stadium where refreshments will be available.
